In the Thistledown Society, our mission statement is simple: “To expand and nourish our group of empathetic and compassionate people and to help negate the terrible effects building within our culture”. That is our quest – to be good people and good citizens who cherish the best characteristics of humanity. We do this for the benefit of ourselves, our society, our environment, and the world in general.
We, as a positive society, want to let our natural empathy guide our emotions and our actions because it’s the right thing to do. Our belief is that we should follow the principles ingrained in our natural feelings and desires – wanting to live our lives the best we can, both morally and ethically – and to encourage others to do the same.
